Trinity West Elementary

Welcome to MY LIBRARY & IMAGINATION STATION at Trinity West, where learners are inspired to read for recreation, to use reliable resources for collaborative research projects, and to extend and apply what they are learning in their classrooms through a variety of activities.

The Imagination Station offers hands-on activities, such as a LEGO table, LEGO wall, and a NoRILLA table, which encourage learners to explore & develop skills in the area of STEAM as well as Computational Thinking. Learners have access to a broad collection of print books, which they will check out during their weekly Library class. Additionally, SORA, which is an app on the Classlink Dashboard, offers eBooks and audiobooks from both the school district and the Washington County Public Library System.

While in the space, students work to meet a variety of Common Core Standards. Additionally, standards from the American Association of School Librarians, which focus on information literacy and encouraging students to "Think, Create, Share, and Grow," will also be phased in over the course of this school year.
